Celebrating Resident Success

This month we would like to highlight one of our female residents who is building a career and giving back to the community. Ms. T. developed her customer service resume in the fast food industry but wanted a professional position that would keep her off her feet. To achieve that goal she recently applied for a fully remote phone based customer service position with a major corporation. The hiring process was very competitive but her talent showed through and she got the job! To accommodate her new at home work life Amber Lantern’s staff set her up with an office at Brightwood House. Ms. T. is now thriving in her new role and our team couldn’t be more proud of her achievements.

If that wasn’t big enough news she is also giving back to the community by volunteering with an organization called San Antonio Youth Literacy. Her goal with this volunteer work is to help teach local 2nd graders how to read, building a critical life skill and ultimately prepare them for the state’s standardized STAAR test requirements.
