Amber Lantern provides comfortable and caring environments for people living with a behavioral health diagnosis; based upon the best scientific evidence regarding how to promote health and well-being. Our highly experienced staff operate three supervised living communities in San Antonio with a focus on recovery, skill development, and independence. Our communities are conveniently located with easy access to grocery stores, entertainments venues, San Antonio Medical Center and public transportation.

San Antonio Communities
Brightwood House
Located in an idyllic residential setting Amber Lantern’s newest raises the bar for supervised living in San Antonio. Highlights include on-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, multiple common areas and a large backyard for outdoor activities.
Bridgeport Men’s House
The Bridgeport supervised living community is Amber Lantern’s dedicated men’s home. This facility was recently updated to provide quality of life improvements. It is conveniently located close to employment opportunities and vital services.
Cedar Mill House
Our original residential therapeutic community, Amber Lantern provides a comfortable and caring environment for women with mental health challenges in Bexar County.
Amenities
Accommodations
We offer both private and double occupancy rooms. Individual bedrooms provide residents with privacy and a greater sense of independence.
Kitchens
Residents will have full access to the kitchen and be able to cook and bake under supervision of our Resident Assistant.
Common Areas
Each of our communities offers multiple common areas for house meetings, socializing, and entertainment.
Entertainment
Cable TV, Netflix and HBO are available on TVs in the common areas. Residents will also have access to a tablet for their entertainment use.
Internet Access
There is a wireless internet system for use by participants to look up bus routes or services, complete on line applications or find things to do in the community.
Laundry
Residents are able to do laundry at their convenience with the goal of developing skills to help them live more independently.
Safety Features
All Amber Lantern residential communities are equipped with commercial fire suppression systems for the safety of our residents. Security cameras are located ONLY in public areas (living room, kitchen, hallways, and porches). Cameras are utilized to protect the residents, personal belongings, and the staff.
